Given the high cost of 458SOCOM ammo, I was interested in finding less costly practice ball. 350gr SBR FMJ comes close at $42.25 per box of 20, but even less expensive choices would be nice. The best thing about heavier 458SOCOM loads is that they retain most of the velocity even from short barrels. 600gr for suppressed use ambles along at 1000fps, 300gr remains fairly quick (1700-1800fps).
